VINTAGE 40s ADAM MAJESTIC TAN FEDORA You know that this classically styled teardrop crown felt fedora from Adam is pretty old when you spot the manufaturer's price tag under the lining that says $6.00. six bucks for a "MAJESTIC" high quality fur felt fedora like this one ? gotta be late 40's , The felt material is luxuriously soft , done in a tasty shade of chocolate milk tan , with deluxe features like grosgrain ribbon binding on the 2 1/4" and a wind trolley cord that button on a string that tethers the hat to your buttonhole , The crown stands about 4 1/4 high at its tallest point ,and the grosgrain ribbon hatband is stylishly narrow at 1" .The inside has upscale look to , with fancy pleating in the ivory satin lining .The Adam Majesticimprint in the centre is protected by the hair oil shield with the motto " Americas" Famous Hatter, (later on Adam came up with the more clever "First name in hats) ,The sweatband is of gold embossed tan leather .
SIZE marked as 6 7/8 ,but the inside circumference of 21 1/2" means a snug 7
CONDITION pretty good ,actually ,with no holes rips or moth bites . The satin lining is a bit rumpled ,and there is some minor discolouration on the hatband |
